Accountabilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Scientific Leadership
- Contributing to the design of the drug's medical scientific plan, aligning with strategic guidelines and budget.
- Serving as the custodian of the medical and scientific data of the drug.
- Continuously updating knowledge about specific drugs and studies.
- Supporting the medical team in maintaining a direct line of bidirectional collaboration with the GMA lead of the product.
- Enhancing knowledge among healthcare professionals through local study and publication plans, medical education programs, and scientific advisory related to the drug.
- Analysing competitor products from a medical-scientific perspective and sharing knowledge with internal collaborators.
Planning
- Participating in the development of local strategy and clinical activities of the product, ensuring alignment with Global Therapeutic Area teams.
- Supporting the development and monitoring of the Medical Plan for the product.
- Plan national medical-scientific activities through a development plan with external experts and scientific societies related to the product.
- Evaluating ESR study proposals according to the pre-established strategic plan.
Implementation
- Working alongside senior colleagues to ensure projects meet medical requirements.
- Contributing to the development of the Brand Plan within the Brand Team.
- Collaborating with Marketing colleagues to support brand materials development within a specific therapeutic area.
- Responding to Sales Delegates' questions regarding scientific and technical information.
- Ensuring key documents are accurate from a medical and scientific standpoint and aligned with standards.
- Coordinating with the Scientific & Capability Development Department to deliver training actions to the sales network.
- Implementing educational non-promotional medical projects appropriately.
- Collaborating on Risk Mitigation Plans with Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory.
- Projecting AstraZeneca's corporate image and values in interactions.
Compliance
- Ensuring all job-related activities align with relevant external and internal regulations.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences (Medicine, Pharmacy, or similar) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with ethical products, having held at least one of these positions:
- Similar position in another company
- MSL or equivalent experience
- Marketing
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Knowledge of the therapeutic area.
- Experience in clinical practice.
